I do both......out of bordem. Then, I'll get bored of it too after a few minutes. The reason I do this is because the guild is inactive most of the time, but becomes heavily active on the weekends. Although, I go out on Saturdays @_@ Another reason, I used to be guildless before I joined and did everything on my own, with PuGs, and the henches. Hard to breakaway from my old freelancing days.

Another thing, how come some people hate the farmers? O_o

Treasure Hunter for me... farming gets very old very quick. I get my money from doing the missions and opening chests and going to very out of the way places (i.e. yesterday took a trip down to where theres millions and squillions of Verata's Apprentices just to take screenshots) and helping with quests.

Regards

Well, if you're speaking from a monetary standpoint ... i'm neither. I'm a merchant to make money. My bank and character space are always revolving with crafting materials and easily-sellable items, etc.

I have no luck with farming, or chests ... it's only when i'm not looking for a great drop that I get one. Call me crazy, but I believe in "Game karma" ... I help out wherever and whenever I can, and I seem to get some good drops along the way. You could call me the hunter that never hunts

First 3 months i played this game i was a PURE farmer. Stopped for 2 months to work on characters. Now i am a pure Treasure Hunter. Trying to find Superior Vigor and a Superior Absorbtion, and there is nearly ZERO profit in Ettin farming while in search for these runes. Seriously, crappy rare items, all none max, and all the superior runes i DO find are like 300g at the trader... BLEH!

oh, i guess i do farm the materials!! =P Enjoy!

I have on char that is kind of a utility guy that does most farming for me as he can solo in some moderately profitable areas. He is called up when needed for a quest or mission with a guildie.

Two characters are shelved but called up when needed by the guild when a monk or ele is needed.

I am still bringing along a couple of more charachters that do a combo of farming and skill capping.

Skill capping is a form of farming anyway as I find myself lugging back a bunch of stuff whenever I skill cap anyway.
